Whoops!! Slightly dicey day in the van BUT all is well. Shout out to the two strangers who helped me get out of this pickle.

Chris and the dude with the Sturgis shirt: I can't thank you enough. Definitely restored my faith in humanity today.

Basically, there was a brush fire on the interstate and everything was shut down. Google maps re-routed me up this unpaved road on the side of a mountain. The road was in pretty good shape for the first couple of miles, so I thought it would be fine.

But, when I turned a corner, things got super narrow and washed out. I knew I had to turn around and go down, but there wasn't enough space to do so and when I attempted to flip the whip, I got stuck.

I panicked but thankfully some random dude came and saw me in trouble and helped guide me out and we lodged some rocks under my back tires so I could get back on solid ground. I then backed down the side of the mountain with his guidance and found a safe place to turn around.
